Established in 1961 and on these premises since 1967, we are a family-owned independent Bookshop offering a high standard of customer service. We welcome customers by mail order (at preferential postal rates), telephone, email and online as well as in person. We are close to the centre of York, being only 150 yards from Marks and Spencer, the largest store in York.

Our large premises comprise ten rooms full of new, secondhand and antiquarian books. Browsers are welcome to wander from room to room. Our stock of Christian and Theological Books is comprehensive and interdenominational and we have a permanent special offers section with many new books bought in to sell at sale prices. We also have a good range of general books, both new and secondhand.

Specialist Interests
We specialise in Secondhand Christian Books and regularly buy large collections as well as individual items. Our secondhand section is one of the largest in the North of England. Customer wants are kept on file and checked against incoming items. Catalogues are issued and several mailing lists are maintained to assist in meeting customer needs. Enquiries and offers of books are always welcome.
