Forged From Faith
ATF (After The Fire)
Category: Music This single, say the band, represents the reason behind their relaunch in 2004: After their joyful return to the Greenbelt Arts Festival in 2004, singer Keith Smith felt moved to write these lyrics as a reflection on his experience. when Peter Banks received the words via e-mail he was immediately inspired to write the music. Suddenly it all made sense to tread the boards once again as After The Fire! It's a melodic, mid-tempo and powerful track that brings the band well into the 21st Century and had me singing along in no time at all: This love was forged from faith. Excellent. The track was featured by Alison Booker in her afternoon show on BBC Radio Oxford as part of the John Peel Day special broadcast on October 13th. If you missed that, no worries: it's only 79p for the download from iTunes, or £1.58 if you pick up a copy of the remastered Wildflower with it — go there now!
