St Michael's Abbey is a contemplative monastery of monks of the Benedictine Order about thirty miles from London, England. The monks live the Benedictine life in its classic or 'continental' form. At the heart of our life is the solemn celebration of the liturgy, sung in Latin to Gregorian Chant.

The monks earn their living through their printing, publishing, bookbinding, farm and apiary. The Abbey Shop is an important part of the monastery's income. By choosing to buy from the Abbey Shop rather than from secular commercial enterprises, our customers help support the contemplative monastic life of the Church. When buying books please consider making the Abbey Shop your regular bookseller.

We are a friendly shop with a good selection of Christian books, Bibles, cards and some second hand books. We keep over 2000 titles in stock and most other books can be obtained within 48 hours.

We stock a large variety of evangelical Christian books, Bibles and pamphlets. Access to most recorded product and books seen on Christian channels. Large stock of greetings cards, CDs, DVDs, posters, small gifts, T-shirts & ties (when available).

Sorry, drinks served to no more than four people at a time, because of space, but you will be made very welcome. We can be found just beyond the city hall and a very short walk up Sunbridge Road.
