We are a small friendly Christian bookshop in a delightful East Anglia market town. We have a good range of up-to-date books for children (from picture books and puzzles to edgy teen fiction) and for adults. We have an excellent selection of Bibles, commentaries, biographies and devotional books. We supply Bible reading notes and can order any book you need with a quick turnaround.
We also sell Christian greetings cards, gifts, music CDs and cassettes, and DVDs. You'll find a warm welcome when you drop in for a cup of tea, coffee or cold drink.
There is free parking in the Market Square outside the shop. Our staff are all volunteers and involved in local churches.
Mission Statement Our purpose is to be self-supporting so we can spread the Christian message whether through a cup of tea and a listening ear, a helpful book, the perfect card or small gift

Living Oasis Harrogate is a new Christian bookshop and resource centre on the site of the former Wesley Owen (previously Branchlines Christian Resource Centre), Harrogate.
The new store, under the management of Julie Jowett, former Wesley Owen branch manager and now Northern Regional Manager for Living Oasis, is the first in a new chain of Christian retail outlets emerging under the ownership of the Nationwide Christian Trust. Visit the Living Oasis website or see the reports in the News & Notes section opposite for more information.
Living Oasis Harrow is one of a new chain of Christian retailers in the UK which commenced operations in 2010, taking over most of the former Wesley Owen bookshops.
Editor's Note Previously trading as SPCK, this is one of several shops entrusted to the St Stephen the Great Charitable Trust but no longer operating under that name. The shop is listed by Third Space Books as one of their branches, however, and its status therefore remains uncertain.
Situated only 4 miles from Hull and on a bus route from the city, Hessle Bookshop is conveniently located for people from Hull.
Customer Comments
This is a small shop which is in two sections: a general section and another equal-sized section devoted to Christian books. This used to be a separate business, Our Lady of Lourdes Bookshop (indicating the RC origins) but it carries a wide selection including mainstream Protestant and Evangelical publishers in addition to Roman Catholic resources. Willing to order material as requested.
Also Available Audio Books, Games & Toys, Newspapers, Magazines, Remainder Books and Stationery

Previously trading as the Good News Centre, then taken over by Wesley Owen, the Bible Outlet opened as an independent Christian bookshop on the same premises in 2007. Sadly, the shop was reported ceased trading in November 2009.
